Fresh Blooms

I have always loved the positivity which flowers bring. For me flowers are the best thing which can lift my mood. Red Roses have been always my favourite & a bunch of them has always brought a huge smile on my face . And thats the reason my dad gives me the biggest bouquet of Red Roses every year on my birthday. I think I am happiest when I am around these little bundle of joys!

I always thought of a post like this where I am surrounded by lush green trees, shrubs loaded with colorful flowers, pleasant weather & I am actually what I am within!
I am a person who loves being around nature. Spring season is my favourite. I love how colorful flowers fill the atmosphere with their fragrance and beauty.

I wanted to write this post in the Spring season itself but I think it’s never late. This post is my favourite! The beach look which I created here is simple and you can try this in your next vacation. The best part about this look is its simplicity. You wear minimal make up when on the beach! You are a free spirit enjoying the surroundings with palm trees all around and waves crashing on the shore as if they are calling you to play with them. So the beach look is always very comfy and simple.

This year has become my Travel year as I travelled to Goa, which was on my bucket list since long and then Thailand!

So I covered two major destinations this year and enjoyed being at beach which I always wanted to!

Bougainville are the most eye pleasing flowers which watched even from a distance gives you all positive vibes! Imagine when you are at a place which is loaded with them! Your eyes gleam with such beauty, you are at peace.

Coming to the outfit, I wore a white lace Offshoulder Romper which I bought from Greater Kailash Market, New Delhi for just Rs.400. Wore a floral Tiara which was in my closet since years and I was done!

I love it when dressing up is as easy as waking up! You can try this look for your Goa vacation or any beach vacation. You can even carry this look to your pool parties.

With Loads of Love…Twinkle ❤ ❤

It’s time to Style Ethnic Wear!

It’s time of the year again when I actually dig out all my ethnic outfits to mix and match and to style them for the upcoming festivals! I think you all will agree that we have ample ethnic outfits which we wear only during wedding season or during various Indian festivals, rest of the time they are just lying in our closet!

Well, this season I want you to just style your outfits by trying different combinations of your skirts and blouses or crop tops and see a completely different outfit! And if you are lucky like me to have a sister then I think you need not buy anything!😉

The look I created in this blog post is simple yet stunning! The long skirt doesn’t belong to me! I took it from my sister’s closet. She wore the skirt two years before on Diwali and since then it wasn’t worn. I paired it with a boat neck crop top which I actually bought to wear with a saree but couldn’t. So I took these two pieces which were never meant to style with each other but actually complemented the look as a whole when paired together!

If you see the color combination of this outfit, it is very different and originally this skirt was worn with a navy blue top which was it’s actual partner!! But I loved the way how this green boat neck crop top looked so graceful with this pink floral skirt!

To complete the look I just wore big enamel Jhumkas and a druzee ring & bracelet and I was good to go!

You can also mix and match your outfits just the way I did and create a completely different look for the upcoming festivals and weddings! Let’s reuse are beautiful ethnic wears this season and create looks which can beat anything bought new!

I hope you loved this short & sweet post! Do give your feedback and do not forget to tag me if you recreate this look! I will be coming up with more ethnic outfits and looks so stay tuned & keep styling!

Two ways to Style Olive Dress this Summer!

I hope you guys saw my last Travel post on Goa! I am overwhelmed by the huge response & love to it by you all! It feels great when your work gets recognition & positive feedback. It motivates further to bring something new! I ll be posting my Goa Diaries Day 2 soon, but before that here’s quick outfit post for you.

Some Colors are so much in vogue that we often find them everywhere!

Such color is “Olive” & I am sure in some style or the other its in your closet. It may be a palazzo, culottes, dress or a simple top! So in this post I have styled “Olive” dress in two different ways for the day & night look. I am often asked about styling this color outfits as its a little subtle color. But if styled right, it just looks marvelous.

Style 1 #OOTD

For the casual day look I wore this dress which has an Corset Belt stitched in the middle. You can adjust it further as per your requirement. Its a knee length cotton based casual dress which is perfect for summers. Afternoons are super hot these days, so its better to style your hair in a messy bun rather than keeping your traces open. Not only it looks super stylish but is manageable too.

Day outing should be hassel free & comfy. White sneakers looked perfect with the entire look & with my favourite sunnies & a sling bag I was ready to go. I also added a black lace chokar with looked perfect for the day look.

Style 2 #OOTN

If you are attending two events back to back, you can style the same dress for a night event as well & trust me it will look like your any evening outfit.

Evening outfits should be classy & vibrant. So, to add shimmer to this dress, I wore a pink sequins shrug which totally converted this casual dress into a party outfit. These days hoops are my favourite accessory when it comes to jewellery. It just goes with everything you wear! Add hoops & a statement neckpiece & carry a classy sling bag & you are done! You will be able to change from your casual outfit to a glamorous one in less than 15 minutes with a completely changed look.

So this was a quick outfit post from Day look to Night look. Tell me the comments below which look you liked the most!

Goa Diaries : Day 1

Hello my lovely people!!

I am super excited to share my experience in Goa with you all. Like everyone, Goa was number 1 on my bucket list!! It’s been 5 years since I was planning to go Goa! Yes! These 5 years went on planning, planning and only planning! And guess what this trip happened without any brainstorming sessions & endless discussions! It was sudden & that made it more exciting! So, guys I ll be sharing my goa diary in 3 different posts because its impossible to write about this super awesome trip in just one post!!

1. Calangute Beach

Our stay was at Calangute Residency. The property is on the Calangute Beach & has a pool & a restaurant facing the sea. The view from our balcony was just breathtaking. Plus we were damn sure about going to the beach every morning. On the first day we woke up at 6 am in the morning to enjoy & soak ourselves in the salty water. The morning temperature was pleasant with cool breeze with very few people going towards the beach. This was the first time I was between the waves and i totally totally loved it.

What I wore

I wore a red & white floral playsuit from H&M to enjoy the first day on the beach. I really loved the back criss cross detailing of this playsuit. Since I was going to beach I only wore my white bow flip flops & I was done. The best part of being at the beach is that you need to dress up minimal. You actually enjoy being yourself. The big waves & the sand gives you so much joy that you forget everything & just live the moment.

2. Aguada Fort

In the afternoon we went to Aguada Fort, which is the most popular tourist destinations of Goa. The view of the endless Arabian sea is so magnificent with boats looking like tiny toys. It is excellent for sight seeing & also stands as a testimony of the Portuguese empire. Aguada lighthouse is the oldest & offers a breathtaking view of the area around.

What I wore

I am simply in love with this outfit. The striped flared palazzos with thigh high slits and a crop top looked amazing on this destination. Though it was sunny, the pleasant cool breeze made for it. This easy breeze outfit was perfect. I styled it with a hat ( which I bought from goa itself) & a cool pair of aviators. The best part of this outfit is that it’s high on style & comfort. I also wore a color coordinated shrug to beat the scorching sun.

3. Deltin Royale Casino
If you want to experience luxury Deltin Royale Casino is the most exciting place to be at! With loads of gaming options, live music & dance performances this place is a must visit. It was the first time I was visiting such place & was really really excited. We had booked our package online. It is a floating cruise in Panjim, Old Goa. The ferry takes you to the huge Deltin Royale cruise which has five levels. You can play at casino, have grand buffet dinner, watch the amazing dance performances, enjoy the rooftop view with candle light dinner & light music all at one place. If you are going goa for the first time, I would recommend that this place is a must visit. ( Since photography is prohibited inside casino, I do not have pictures to show you the same)

What I wore

I wore a Black bodycon dress from #forevernew for this magnificent place. Styling this was super easy as it had statement neckpiece stitched over the net. With a black smokey eye makeup & black crystal heels I was ready to enjoy my night out on the cruise.

Fall season is not over yet & One of the biggest fall fashion trend is PLAID. Yes, Everything from plaid dresses to shirts to blazers surely make their way to your fall wardrobe. Theirs no better to way to dress up in this season without donning a bit of plaid.

With plaid dresses you can look sophisticated, elegant and style icon at the same time. Be it a casual look in your favourite plaid shirt, formal look in a plaid blazer or a classy look in a plaid dress, it fits perfectly into your fall fashion closet. Plaids are always in trend & will surely make you stand out in the crowd and can be styled as per your personal style.

Winters in Delhi for a short duration, however it doesn’t stop us to look trendy. Midi plaid dresses are the best option to look chic & also to beat the cold winds.

Styling Plaid Dress

Coming to my whole look, I wore this elegant plaid dress from #AND which can be styled as per occasion.Plaid in itself is a complete outfit. Going over the board in styling it will take away its charm. To style this plaid shirt dress I chose a tan waist belt to highlight my waist and to give shape to the flowing dress. The dress is really comfy & its ruffle sleeves are cherry on the cake, making the dress look high on style factor. Instead of wearing black boots, I wore tan boots which not only matched with the belt but also gave a different look to the overall outfit. As far as accessories are concerned I only wore these big dark green flower studs and I was good to go.

So enjoy these winters in trendy outfits! Keep experimenting with new styles.

Untill next post

Love you all :*

Unnati Silks: The Handloom Saga

Unnati Silks is a saga of ‘HANDLOOMS FOR WOMEN‘ that began in 1980. An experience of three decades plus in silk and cotton textiles Unnati has carved out a niche presence for itself in being the manufacturer, wholesaler, retailer and exporter of genuine silk cotton handlooms like sarees, salwar suits, kurtas, kurtis and other Indian ethnic fabrics.  Its Customer – Centric approach provides with a strong belief that each and every customer is special and requires that something, which is unique, refreshing, fashionable and of quality.

Having a product range that is as varied as it is vast, handwoven and handcrafted, the devotion and dedication of talented ethnic artisans from across 21 states of India comes through in the products on display. Having the Handloom Mark and Silk Mark for most of its products, Unnati’s customers are assured a legitimate backing too, despite being guaranteed original handloom products from the start.

This blog post is really special to me. Firstly, because of my Collaboration with  #Unnati Silks & secondly for my love for Indian wear, which makes me come back to Ethnic Post!! I received a beautiful Handcrafted Saree from Unnati Silk. Its Grey Pure Rajasthani Cotton Dabu Printed Saree

So, What exactly is Dabu Printing?

Dabu printing is a traditional art and an elaborate process in a unique way of dyeing and printing by which exceptional print fabrics of unique appeal result. This mud-resist hand-block printing is practiced mostly in certain pockets in the state of Rajasthan, India. The appearance of these fabrics is unique for the brilliant floral and thematic patterns in sharp and finely detailed prints of bright and well-chosen hues & designs that have left modern pundits dumbstruck.

The highlight of Dabu printed fabrics is the use of organic colours and vegetable pastes which are eco-friendly, skin-friendly, fast, and retain their brilliance for most of the lifetime of the fabric. Dabu printed sarees undergo a rigorous process that involves a lot of not so easily available and costly natural dyes and vegetable pastes.

So Coming back to the post. I received this beautiful cotton grey dabu printed saree. I styled it by wearing it with a contrast mustard shade cold shoulder crop top. Kept the Palla a little loose from the side & sleek from the front. I love the way this saree was so easy to manage & all its pleats were intact without even using the safety pins!! The saree was super comfortable & the quality of the fabric was so good, that even after wearing it for more than 2-3 hours, it didn’t had any crease. It’s a wedding season, you can carry this unique & stylish look to your friend’s haldi or mehendi function.

  • I styled this look with a pair of golden jhumkas, a ring & bangles.
  • As for my hairdo, I made a high bun & accessorized it with a leafy golden band.

Unnati Silks has an amazing collection of handlooms from various states and styles. From Cotton & silks sarees to Salwaar Kameez, skirts, fabrics & Kurtas they have all. And I must say they are best in both quality & price. So, what are you waiting for? Check their amazing collection by clicking the link below.

I hope you liked this unique look of draping & styling saree. Do comment below.

Love you all :*

Two ways to style your Shrugs in Winters

November has begin & the morning & evenings are getting little chilly these days. The weather is changing, sometimes it feels like wearing extra layer & sometimes just a casual tee. Soon winters will arrive in full swing & finally we will see our rosy pink cheeks😍, our fresh & bright face!! Aahh! Thats what I like about winters!! My skin looks radiant & fresh & I feel more energetic & vibrant in winters!! So do u like winters?

Since there is still some time for our pullovers & jackets & all the layers to come up! I thought of creating a look which you can carry during the day & also protect yourself from the chilly wind. You need not search in your winter closet as there are ample summer clothes which can still be used.

We often carry shrugs with us during summers to protect our self from the harmful rays!! But shrugs can also be styled for the upcoming winters.

I have created two looks with same long striped shrug, using it as a layer for this transition weather.

Look 1

For a casual day or a fun filled evening with your friends, you can style this long shrug with your favourite shorts & tee. It not only goes with the look but also work as an add on layer when it gets cold. Shrugs add an extra element to your otherwise normal outfit and make you stand out in a crowd!! To Complete the look, you can wear your favourite pair of sneakers & shades and you are good to go. I paired my denim shorts with a bright yellow color casual tee & wore white sneakers for a morning outing. My blue & white striped shrug blended perfectly with the casual attire & was both comfy & high on style factor.

Here you can see the difference which a shrug creates. Firstly your basics will have an add on style factor and secondly in this transition weather you will be able to move out in comfort & style.

Look 2

Coming to the Look 2, I paired this shrug with a bodycon dress for an evening outing. The long shrug adds up to your style factor when teamed up with your favourite bodycon dress, LBDs and all your party wear dresses. Yes, throw a contrast shrug over your dress and create a absolutely different yet super classy outfit. I wore a Blue bodycon dress with front zipper and styled it with the same striped shrug. You can see in the pictures below that how a shrug added an extra element to the whole outfit, giving it a different look altogether. I opted for platform footwear with this outfit, However it can be styled with white kitten heels or white heels for a more glamorous look.

I hope you loved the two styles!! So, this winter keep styling keep experimenting and keep liking my posts. Do comment about this one & stay tuned as I will be coming up with various other style options.

Till then, Love you all :*

Bold & Fierce

Hey everyone, my blog today is definitely going to peak your interest! Since its been two years to “Twinklewithmystyle” I am trying to create new & different looks. Being a fashion blogger, I always try to bring something new and trends which are in vogue. My blog is mostly about ethnic style but to break the monotony, here I am showing you how I styled Denim over Denim in a little bold yet chic style.

I like experimenting with different style to create something new. Often my style is inclined towards ethnic & indo western looks since I truly believe that Indian culture is unique & beautiful.

This time I wanted to see myself in a different way!! Does this happen with you too? When you just want to be a person completely opposite to your usual self?

Often we create boundaries around us & that too so strong that sometimes even we ourselves are not able to break!! We think that we will be highly uncomfortable if we go beyond that!! Forgetting that change is ” uncomfortable”. Its that uncomfort, crossing which gives a new beginning.

This doesn’t apply to only dressing!! It applies to our life as well! The decisions we take!!

So, break your boundaries which only you have created in your mind and set yourself free to experience a new you, the bold you, the changed version of you.

Coming to the Denim over Denim look

I styled denim offshoulder corset top with front buttoned long denim skirt. This time I created a different look by tying the ends of the skirt into a big knot. I really like how these denim long skirts are a versatile piece of style. You can style them the way you like. Also, I completed the look with the pair of ankle length boots & high bun.

The only accessory which I teamed with this outfit is a black metal hand harness. As for my make up I kept it bold by using marsala lip shade & a hint of blue eyeshadow.

You can carry this look to numerous events. Go for a concert, this look is perfect for that. Wear it for your college fest you will surely gonna make heads turn 😉

Navratri 2017 :Gujarati Attire

Navratri – The festival which symbolizes the victory of good over evil (Victory of Maa Durga over Mahishasur) comes with nine days of celebration. People not only offers prayers to Maa Durga but also celebrates this festival through dance, wearing traditional clothes and making delicious delicacies. Festivities in India bring change in your daily routine and add colors to your otherwise monotonous days.

Garba & Dandiya were the dance forms which were earlier performed only in Gujarat, but nowadays it is performed by everyone across the country. It is the essential highlight of navratra festival without which navratra doesn’t end. People in a group perform this infront of Maa Durga.

Through this post I am going to give you style option to create a colorful dandiya/garba look. Recently I went for dandiya night which was organised by Country Inn & Suits, Sahibabad & carried this colorful gujarati look for the dandiya.

Since today is the last day of Navaratri festival, I know many of you must be planning to go for dandiya/garba tonight, so I thought of sharing my dandiya night look with you all.

I wore a traditional gujarati lehenga with dandiya dancers embroidered all over the lehenga. The lehenga is a mix of black & pink hues with colorful thread embroidery & mirror work. Instead of wearing it with its actual blouse, which was as heavy as this lehenga, I paired it with a plain silk crop top.

I styled it with silver jhumkas & a long silver & blue neckpiece. This long neckpiece actually gave this attire a true gujarati look. Last but not the least I pinned my pink mirror work gujarati dupatta (these gujarati dupattas are available in every color at Delhi Haat, Sarojini Nagar for Rs.250- Rs.350) at the side, since I knew I would be dancing a lot🙈🙈.

So, take a clue from this look and create your festive look enjoy the last day of Navratri.

Do comment below if you love this look.
